OUR NEW TOPIC - SOUTH AMERICA

Hello everybody, this term we are studying Geography in particular South America. We are learning about maps, climate,foods, animals and landscape features. We are excited because we are going to learn about:

• Rainforest
• Cities
• People and culture
• Animals
• THE WORLD CUP IN BRAZIL
• AND CHOCOLATE

May I take this opportunity to remind parents dinner money is due in on Mondays. Book bags should be returned by Wednesday and children are to dress for P.E on Fridays. 

Class 6 has enjoyed being scientists this term.

We have been finding out about materials. We have been busy doing floating and sinking experiments. We also learnt about opaque, transparent and translucent materials. 

We have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year and have made beautiful Chinese lanterns.

We have been looking for interesting, descriptive WOW words to help write more exciting sentences on our WOW word wall. We have been listening to and acting out famous Welsh stories like Bedd Gelert and we are looking forward to the Eisteddfod!

We have been very busy this term looking at people in History, especially famous Welsh people. Lots of children brought in amazing projects about Samuel Pepys, Laura Ashley , Roald Dahl , Neil Armstrong and many more!

This term our topic is Music 

We will be appreciating different types of music, singing and making music with instruments we have made ourselves.
