Welcome

Our School Badge

Dear families,

All of us at Lansdowne Primary School very much look forward to teaching all of our fantastic young people again this year.

We are a school community.

Our school community includes:

  1. Pupils
  2. Staff
  3. Parents/guardians
  4. Local community – including local residents, local businesses and local police

Everything that we do is based on our school values:

  • Achievement
  • Honesty
  • Kindness
  • Respect

At Lansdowne Primary School, we believe that well-being and positive relationships are at the centre of learning. We aim to foster trusting and respectful relationships with our pupils and families and provide a safe and nurturing environment for our pupils to learn and grow.

We believe that school should be fun, relevant and enjoyable for everyone. We understand that learning experiences follow learner’s own interests and are relevant to their experiences. That's why we place a high importance on the voice of our pupils. Through our school council, digital leaders and Eco team, we ensure that children have a say in their learning and their school environment.

We work hard to foster links within our community in order to provide our children with as many opportunities as possible.

We want all of our learners to:

  1. Be happy and confident
  2. Have the skills and experiences to enjoy life long learning
  3. Be respectful global citizens
  4. Feel valued

We very much look forward to working with you all this academic year and providing your children with engaging, exciting and relevant learning experiences to ensure that they hit the aspirational goals that we have set for them.

Please remember that we operate an open door policy so if you have any ideas for the school or would like to talk about your child/children then please pop in to have a chat with me or another member of the team.

Best wishes

Mrs. M. Kinsey ( Acting Headteacher)
